This design came out of a stressful time and on a long journey.

Desperately in need of something to occupy my mind. 

I mean not just occupy it but totally absorb it.  So just a ball and hook and back and forth making a blanket was not enough. 

Designing and making this cute garment was thoroughly therapeutic.  I hope you have a beautiful time making it yourself

You will need double knitting yarn - preferably a soft baby yarn - in 2 colours

Or you can make it up all in one colour if you prefer

4mm hook

darning in needle

2 baby buttons

Narrow ribbon - about 1 to 1.5 meters

Easier to make than it looks

This was one of those rare accidents. When I designed this, what you see now is not how it was meant to look. This was not the picture in my head.  the more I worked through it the more frustrated I got as I realised it just wasn't going to fit round the neck how I wanted it too.  But with a few tweaks, well I think the result is pretty amazing (Can you hear me blowing my trumpet from where you are sitting?)

Well I like it anyway, and want to share my mistake with you

Easier to make than it looks

Special enough to delight people - make for gifts or to sell at fairs

Takes less than 100g acrylic yarn
